Le mécanisme de la perception chez Bergson

Oil and golden leaf on canvas. 120 x 150 cm. 2019.

“The mechanism of perception in Bergson” is an oil painting with gold leaf on canvas, 120 x 150 cm. It
was created in late 2018 in a studio in the old Montmartre district of Paris, France.
It is based on the concepts that the philosopher Henri Bergson develops in his book «Matter and
Memory», where he tries to reconnect the historical dualism.
It is in the act of perception, in the presence of consciousness, that «the miracle occurs», represented
by Ezequiel with the Chartres labyrinth made of gold leaf. The graphic design was developed from
the design of the five-pointed star.
